
1940s Rose Print Zip Front Dress(ing Gown)
1940s vintage approx. small-medium shoulder: 15” bust: 38” waist: 32” untied hips: 40” max bodice length: 16 ½” total length: 38-40” gorgeous paisley rose print on seersucker, with amazing puff sleeves, sweetheart neckline, full length bias cut skirt and two sweet bucket pockets. closure: metal Queen zipper to low hip, cinch with fabric waist ties. label: none present condition: good vintage condition. sturdy, presents well, freshly washed. some wear and old mends throughout. I noted some reinforcement stitching at one pocket corner (to re-secure pocket to skirt), the front skirt hem was taken in approx. 2” at the center seam to hide a tear, the sleeve cuffs have been overlocked (maybe after elastic was removed?), and there is a 1” mend at the right back shoulder (this could likely be taken out and redone less obtrusively but I am leaving as-is).
