Description Overview The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that one in eighty-eight children born in the year 2000 had been identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)*. Today, that number is 1 in 36** These statistics represent our current and incoming students. This webinar will take a deep dive into the various communication challenges presented by students on the Autism Spectrum, including those with Asperger’s Syndrome.We will review the basics of working with students with a disability such as the use of people first language and the etiquette of discussing a student’s accommodation needs.
