Desert Boulder II (23x30")

I painted this piece with a house brush, the same one I used to paint the walls of our house at the time. This one has a falling together, a way of coming together and finding a settled rest, but it seems almost like it will inevitably move again. Through creating Voyager I was inspired by Joshua Tree CA and thinking back on my past cross-country and international travels. I had lived in Europe, America's East coast & West coast, Japan, and plans to go to Mexico in the summer. I continue the Voyager series over many years, as I am thinking of my relationships, staying with partners and friends, periods of time, rhythm of connections and distance of travel and settlement.
