The cluster features striated structure and excellent luster--schorl is prone to brittleness and breakage, so the structural lines and minimal damage of this crystal make it especially desirable. The black tourmaline crystals are terminated, and the tan-white feldspar matrix has an organic roughness. Damaged section are minimal.
