Herkimer Diamond Druzy Quartz & Calcite Cluster, Mohawk Valley, NY USA—SELF2

This raw, small cluster is a sparkly diamond in the rough, and it is was mined by Phenomenal Gems team! This quartz variety is known as a Herkimer “diamond quartz”, an unusual locality quartz found in Herkimer County, New York. The cluster is rough, unpolished, and features a druzy crystallized crust of sparkling clear and black microcrystals. There are also bright white calcite crystals that accent the layer of teeny herkimers. The crystals have grown on a grey dolostone rock matrix. The structure of the cluster is organic and attractive. This piece is a small chunky cluster with tiny sized sparkling individual crystals !
