
Herkimer Diamond Druzy Quartz Cluster, Mohawk Valley, NY USA—SELF8
This raw, small cluster is a sparkly diamond in the rough, and it is was mined by Phenomenal Gems team! This quartz variety is known as a Herkimer “diamond quartz”, an unusual locality quartz found in Herkimer County, New York. The cluster is rough, unpolished, and features a druzy crystallized crust of sparkling clear, black, and sometimes smoky microcrystals. The crystals have grown on a grey dolostone rock matrix. The structure of the cluster is organic and attractive. This piece is a small chunky cluster with tiny sized sparkling individual crystals ! This small natural specimen would make an excellent piece for meditation or gridding. *This specimen was self-collected, from Mohawk Valley Mineral Mining, in April 2024.
