Larimar is only found in the Dominican Republic and was created in the vent shaft of a volcano. There is a limited supply and Larimar is becoming harder to source. Once the mine is depleted, this mineral will surely rise in value. This teardrop shaped Larimar stone is just gorgeous. The back side is flattened and does contain some fine scratches (see last photo). We purchased several larimar pieces from a vender in a lot. This piece had a cheap pinch bail which we replaced with a new bail from our supplier. The new bail is clearly stamped "925" for Sterling Silver.
