Chintz - Art Deco Made in Japan Ceramic Bud Vase | English Transferware Marguerite Pattern

When the Chintz craze hit the US in the 1990s, I was one of the first on board to get into the foray. I traveled to England to scout out new pieces and plowed through Vancouver, B.C. looking for the elusive bits of floral china. I bought, I sold and some, just some mind you, I kept. Well, it's time to dispose of my collection so first come, first served! Up for offer now:AGE: C.1940/1950ITEM: When the Japanese decided to copy something, they did it with gusto! Either they got it completely right or they tweaked things just enough so as to avoid lawsuits with the original English makers. Well, here's a copy of a Royal Winton design - Marguerite! It's a nicely size floral vase - a bit bigger than a bud vase but not so much bigger that you could put a lot of flowers into the opening.CONDITION: Very nice with no problems I can spot. No crazing, just a very light bit of fading in the transfer in some places - I doubt you will even spot in my pics. Orange rim is intact.HALLMARKS: Made in Jap
