It’s an epic evening of charcuterie & wine in The Tasting Room @ The Local! We’re so excited to be working with Josh Turka of the 5th Quarter on this four course charcuterie & wine educational tasting event. This one promises to be off the (meat) hook!The evening will start off with a charcuterie board featuring 5th Quarter paté, Jasper Hill cheeses, & other goodies provided by Mad River Taste Place. Then Josh will take guests on a journey from 5th Quarter Jambon Blanc to a sous-vide egg with bacon vinaigrette to wild ramp sausage, talking about what makes up each dish. The Local’s own Sarah Nagle will serve four wines perfectly paired with each course & chat about the qualities that she looks for when pairing wine with charcuterie.Josh specializes in whole animal butchery and charcuterie, and in November 2022, he opened the 5th Quarter Butcher Shop at the Mad River Taste Place in Waitsfield.
