Intro to Block Printing

  Would you love to create your own custom textiles? Join us for a hands-on Block Printing on Fabric class, where you'll learn the art of carving and printing your own unique designs! In this workshop, you'll: - Sketch and transfer your design onto a block- Carve your block with guided instruction- Print your design onto fabric using textile inks We’ll provide tea towels for you to print on, plus all the tools and materials needed—including carving blocks, ink, and rollers (shared among the class). You’ll have your own block or two to carve, but if you’d like to bring your own block printing kit, you’re welcome to! Come ready to create, experiment, and leave with beautiful, hand-printed tea towels.  Skills expected: None Materials provided - We'll have materials for sharing, and will give you two of your own tea towels.
