Antique Chinese Qing Double Happiness Porcelain Paste Box 19th Century

A Chinese porcelain blue and white round paste box that is decorated with delicate lotus scrolling and a Chinese double happiness character. The cobalt used in the decoration is a nice dark cobalt. The body has a bluish tinge to the white glaze. The glaze is thick and feels soft to the touch.   The box has a shallow cut foot with iron orange lines from the firing. The lid mouth and the body flange are also not glazed. The base and inside of the lid are glazed. The box is unmarked.   MEASUREMENTS   3 ¾” (9.5 cm) diameter x 2 3/8” (5.9 cm) tall. Weighs 7.1 oz (205 g)   CONDITION   There are no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. and slight wear to the surfaces. There is a glaze frit on the mouth rim. There are manufacture flaws, such as black spots, pimples, reserves and glaze chips around the foot where it was chipped off the kiln.   An antique Chinese porcelain that was handmade and hand painted. The painting is delicate but professionally done. A great piece to add to a blue and white d
