Selenite, also known as gypsum, is a white evaporite mineral that forms in distinctive thin blades.  Because selenite crystallizes as thin blades, it also crushes up into progressively smaller, elongate crystals during the crushing process. This particular selenite is very clean and is from Morocco. Our medium material is considered to be sand sized (very coarse sand to fine sand), with the width of the selenite blades, ranging between 2 millimeters to 0.25 millimeters. The average length of the selenite blades range between 0.1 centimeters to 1 centimeter.
